One at a time

Lewis just began eating the Gerber Graduates Puffs. They are a snack that helps babies learn how to pick things up and feed themselves (hand eye coordination). As he maneuvers around in his walker in the kitchen, I put a few Puffs on the tray of his walker. He fiddled around with all 5 knocking about 2 to the floor and trying to grab all of the other 3 with both hands til his hands were to full to put to his mouth.
I took away all the Puffs except for one and he fumbled around with that one for about 45 sec. He skillfully tried various ways to pick it up and get it in his mouth. When he finally picked it up with his thumb and pointer fingers …success..the Puff made it into his mouth successfully. He was able to enjoy the benefits of his intense labor…a nice Sweet potato puff melting in his mouth:)

We as Gods children want all of our blessings now now now! But as He gives us a few at a time we fumble over them.. Wasting most of them and unable to maintain the remaining ones.
When God gives of one thing to handle we have to learn how to use it, learn its purpose, so that we can be proficient in it, able to benefit from it. Once we get that one down, then we are more responsible to get the next and then the next. Then success…we are benefiting, reaping our reward, enjoying the fruit of our labor.

James 1:2-5,12
2 Thessalonians 1:11-12
Matthew 13:10-15

Every year for my birthday my mom gives me a journal or a book. In each book she always writes a personal note on the first few pages. I am currently using one of them for my journaling and sermon notes.
This one was from my 27th bday which was in 2010. Her messages are always about two to three pages but I will share with you bits of it.

27 years ago today God gave me the desires of my heart a beautiful healthy baby girl. Isn’t she Lovely! (my theme song she gave me when I was born (song by Stevie Wonder:) Today as u look at you, you are no longer my baby girl but a true woman of God full of wisdom and power of the Lord and my best friend. You have made me proud in the way u have grown in your life and…

Gloria forever in our hearts

Gloria’s glory

Tonight 1-18-14 (8) I am at peace as we put Gloria to rest at the Oceanfront of 3301 (7) Daytona Beach Shores. From 7:18 am to 7:28 am, it was a time of reflecting on Gods word about His glory, prayer, and listening to “Holy Is The Lord” by Chris Tomlin. As this was the song I listened to on the way to the hospital on 12-28-13 (10) at 7:11 pm not knowing that I would give birth to my 22 week old Gloria exactly one hour later 8:11 pm (10).
Thank you Lord for the time we felt her presence here with us. Thank u for her active movements and pounding heartbeat at the various sonograms we had. Thank u for blessing us with the privilege of receiving the great news that we were having a baby girl on 12-19-13 (10). Thank u for our beautiful Gloria that bestowed ur glory upon this earth. We bless you Lord !

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8, 9 NIV)

I see the big picture, you can only see your current conditions. I am Alpha & Omega, I know the beginning & the end (Revelation 1:8)
Trust My plan for your life as I only want the best for you (Proverb 3:5-6).
Continue to be obedient to My Word & guidance and you will eat the good of the land (Isaiah 1:19).
I love you and will do anything you ask in My will (John 15:7-10)
Everything is Mine, so just like your earthly father, Ask Me and I will supply (Psalm 24:1)

I know u and love u so much (Psalm 139:1:18)

NFL Dream

Kcmchosen1's Blog

Yes the topic is literal:) I def had to share this dream

Working for an NFL team and it seemed like my first day of work. My manager told me to make copies of the stats from the game that the team had just played. So I had the original document and made copies but they did not copy correctly. The managers, coaches, and players began piling into the room and I could not find the original doc to be able to re copy it the correct way.

At this point, I was panicking looking all over for the originals with no luck. The General Manager of the team came in and was chatting with the coaches. Then I was really tripping because everyone is supposed to have their copy of the stats by now. So the GM left for a brief moment, came back with yellow copies of the…

The Rooster Story: What will you reap? Galatians6:7-8

My parents had a rooster n their yard that would not leave (we’ll call him Rooster A). One day another rooster (Rooster B) came on their property and Rooster A began to fight w him so my dad put Rooster B into a cage that he made for his protection.
My dad kept Rooster B in the cage for about 3 months taking care of him and feeding him. But everyday Rooster A would prance around Rooster B’s cage like he was saying “when u come out of their you are mine!”My dad let Rooster B out of the cage twice and came to find the two roosters in a brawl both times so he put him back in the cage. My dad tried various attempts for someone to come pick him up even the city with no luck. So he finally let Rooster B out of the cage at night as he had to free him.

This morning I received a call from my mom that their had been a slaughter on the property…. My dad let Rooster B out of its cage and Rooster A accomplished his long goal of fighting him to the death. Mind you, Rooster B was twice the size of Rooster A but it was over. Rooster A completed his task..of killing Rooster B. what a sad day!! Continue ….

As God’s chosen vessels, God puts a hedge around us while we are out rendezvousing w/ sin. If we continue to walk n sin, the hedge will be lifted for us to fend for ourselves bc God will not keep us from the consequences of the choices we choose 2 make.
We will reap whatever we live according to : the flesh or the Spirit (#Galatians6:7-8).
If we continue to walk in sin, our own fleshly choices, it will eventually lead to death in some form or fashion (Romans6:23 ; Proverbs14:12).

God loves u soooooo much that He gave the life of His only Son, Jesus, so that we can be saved from death and experience an abundant life (John3:16, 10:10).
#ChooseLife #ChooseJesus #Romans10:9-10

While we were dead in our sins God put a hedge of protection around us to keep us from the death and destruction set before us.

Unmasking the Truth

Clean Slate

As I watched Dark Knight Rises movie in the midst of the action, thrills, and the superhero Batman there was a deeper plot. A young woman who blended in wherever she went. She wore many faces, mixed into any social event, and knew all of the right things to say. She had been groomed her entire life to be the woman that every man desired. Sleek, sensual, seductive, social, diverse, independent, and classy. This all was the outer shell.

Internally, this woman was damaged goods, used, lonely, and searching. She was searching for the means to obtain a clean slate. Her past groomed her into this “I can have whatever I want, by using what I have” mentality. She used her innocent appearance and seductive manipulation to try to fulfill the deep dark corners of her soul. Life to her was a prison cell that had her life record open and exposed to the world by the keystroke of a computer keyboard.

She wanted to be free from past errors, free from the filth of being used for pleasure by numerous men so that her needs and wants could be fulfilled. What was the cost of this so called freedom? Lying, stealing, betrayal, and her soul…her womanhood…her innocence…her dreams…desires…love.

Love was something she never truly knew as it was always manufactured. The false love she knew kept a record of every wrong she had done. It reminded her daily of her past. It always said that “IF YOU do THIS or THAT, then I MAY like you enough to clean your record”.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

Love is the complete opposite of everything she was groomed to be, which is why in order for her slate to be cleaned she would have to be renewed. How could this happen?

You may say “nothing can heal her internal scars” but guess what Jesus Christ took on suffering, scars, and deep piercings so that we can be made new creations in Him (2 Corinthians 5:14-19). Because of His death our debts were paid and all of our slates were made clean. When we accept Jesus as our personal Savior we are made blameless, spotless, and clean in His eyes (Ephesians 1:4-8; 1 Thessalonians 3:13).

As we renew our minds in His Word (Romans 12:1-2;Hebrews 4:12-13) and understand that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s image(Psalm 139:13-14) the shame of our past has no choice but to disappear because there is now no condemnation (Romans 8:1).

Today is the day to clean the slate of trying to live up to other people’s expectations (Galatians 1:10). It’ time to live to please our heavenly Father with everything he has placed in these jar of clay (2 Corinthians 4:6-7) we call bodies (Romans 12:1).

Accept Jesus today – Romans 10:9-10
